We were introduced in May of 2020 by our mutual friends Katherine and Jonathan Kinnard. What was meant to be a laid-back social event introduction turned into an online introduction due to Covid.

The connection was almost instant. As soon as the first messages were sent, there was hardly ever a pause in the conversation. To those who know Annie personally, we are sure this is no surprise to you!

After a few of months of nonstop online conversation, we were finally able to meet in person. Even though it was technically our first date, the connection that had been building online translated seamlessly into a true relationship.

Annie and Aden made occasional trips between Rose-Hulman and Cincinnati during the 2020-2021 school year. Aden moved to Cincinnati in 2022. Not long afterward, we got our puppy, who we've named Artemis (Artie), and has quickly become the center of our lives.

After dating for about three years, on April 16th of 2023, Aden took Annie out onto the rooftop patio of a restaurant after a dinner date. There were some hints that Aden might propose that day, such as Aden casually telling her that morning, "I'm going to propose to you today." But seriously, what girl would actually believe that?! When Aden actually did propose on that rooftop, overlooking the Cincinnati skyline, Annie was caught completely by surprise. She will never forget how windy and cold it was, but she will also never forget how she felt saying yes to spending her life with Aden.

We have decided to celebrate our love in Annie's hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio and hope that you will enjoy celebrating with us!
